SUGGESTED JOURNEY

13 Nights, 14 Days || From USD 12 309. Per person sharing || Arusha, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar

This journey through Tanzania’s most iconic national parks is designed for the discerning traveller who seeks high levels of comfort while exploring the major highlights of Tanzania’s safari regions.

Enjoy 10 days on safari, with an optional 4-night extension to Zanzibar, where we recommend staying for a minimum of four nights. The adventure begins and ends at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania.

The journey includes visits to:

Arusha/Kilimanjaro – Renowned for its world-class export coffees, Arusha serves as the ideal starting point after your long-haul flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. Located just an hour's drive from the airport and set in the highlands against the slopes of Mount Meru, this lush, agriculturally rich region is the primary gateway for most safaris in the area.

Tarangire National Park – Famous for its ancient Baobab trees, large herds of elephants, and diverse predators, Tarangire offers a unique safari experience.

Serengeti National Park – A highlight of the trip, the Serengeti is renowned for the Great Migration, where zebras and wildebeest follow the rains in a continuous, circular route throughout the year.

Ngorongoro Crater and the Great Rift Valley – The Ngorongoro Crater is a veritable garden of Eden, an ecosystem set within an extinct volcanic caldera. The crater hosts a wealth of wildlife, from mammals to predators. Additionally, we will explore a section of the Great Rift Valley, including Lake Manyara National Park.

Zanzibar extension:

Enhance your safari experience with an optional 4-night extension to Zanzibar, the perfect beach and bush combo. Enjoy luxurious accommodations and a variety of activities such as sea kayaking, snorkelling, and stand-up paddleboarding from Xanadu’s private beach.

tips from the expert

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are particularly rewarding, as animals are more active during these cooler periods. Remember to bring a pair of binoculars and a high-quality camera to capture the stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife throughout your journey. Extend your journey with a 4-night stay in Zanzibar. After your safari, unwind in your private villa. The retreat offers direct access to the pristine beaches of Bwejuu, allowing you to transition from wildlife encounters to the gentle sounds of the Indian Ocean.
